Some payday loan companies gather your personal information and then shop around for a lender. That means your information could go out to third parties as part of the lending process. Other companies will even sell contact information, leaving you dealing with sales calls and spam emails. LendUp protects customer information and will never sell it.
If you have money socked away in a 401(k), your plan may offer you an option to borrow up to half your account balance at a low interest rate and repay it within five years. Sounds appealing, but there are two major issues: 1) Your money can’t grow if it’s not in your account, and 2) you’re likely to keep doing it, which compounds the first problem.
Online loans generally work in a similar way to loans from traditional brick-and-mortar banks. There is an application, and online lenders look into your credit score and other factors to determine your creditworthiness and ability to pay back the loan. If approved, you get the payment in a lump sum. But there are some differences. Let’s take a look at how online loans are different.
Research for the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation found that a majority of Illinois payday loan borrowers earn $30,000 or less per year.[16] Texas' Office of the Consumer Credit Commissioner collected data on 2012 payday loan usage, and found that refinances accounted for $2.01 billion in loan volume, compared with $1.08 billion in initial loan volume. The report did not include information about annual indebtedness.[17] A letter to the editor from an industry expert argued that other studies have found that consumers fare better when payday loans are available to them.[18] Pew's reports have focused on how payday lending can be improved, but have not assessed whether consumers fare better with or without access to high-interest loans. Pew's demographic analysis was based on a random-digit-dialing (RDD) survey of 33,576 people, including 1,855 payday loan borrowers.[19]
If we receive, process, and approve your application before 5:45 p.m. ET, we typically fund it on the next business day. Banking holidays and processing times with your individual bank may cause delays.  Errors in your banking and account information will delay your funding.  If we are unable to verify your application information, we may ask you to provide certain documents. The maximum loan amount for your initial loan is $1,000. Refer to Loan Cost & Terms for additional details. We provide complete disclosures of APR, fees and payment terms in the Loan Agreement.

Check Into Cash advances range anywhere from $50 to $1,000 depending on your state of residence. The qualifications for our loans are typically less stringent than for conventional loans. In exchange for the cash you need, Check Into Cash charges a small fee. This fee along with the original amount borrowed is typically due on your next day of pay.
You're not alone. If you are like many people who take advantage of online loans, you may have a less than perfect credit score. You may still be approved for an online loan from Great Plains. To qualify for an online loan, you do not have to be employed - but must have a reliable source of income. And, as you build a successful loan payment history, you can qualify for larger loan amounts in the future.
We have developed systems to make managing the repayment of your online loan convenient and affordable. For example, since we align your loan payment due dates with your pay dates, you should never get stuck trying to make a payment between paychecks. Whether you are paid bi-weekly or monthly, we will establish payment due dates at the time you are paid to make managing your loan repayment schedule easy and convenient.
